Dyckerhoff Basal Toeslagstoffen B.V. handles the extraction, sale and transport of different types of sand and gravel, both for in-house use by Dyckerhoff Basal Betonmortel companies, as well as by third parties. Dyckerhoff Basal Toeslagstoffen B.V. thus has transfer points in Markelo, Deventer and Zwolle. The extraction of raw material takes place in Markelo. Here, sand and gravel are extracted using cutting-edge technology. The current sand classification installation enables different fractions of sand or gravel to be mixed with computer-controlled precision. At the same time, Dyckerhoff Basal Toeslagstoffen B.V. organises transport to the consumer by road and well as by water. This enables Dyckerhoff Basal Toeslagstoffen B.V. to produce more efficiently and better anticipate consumers' requirements and needs.
Sand is categorised into the following fractions:
2 / 5 mm, 0.5 / 2 mm, 0.25 / 0.5 mm, 0 / 0.25 mm.
These fractions allow all the sand types required to be composed; for example, we supply the following sand types:
Gravel is categorised into the fractions:
16-32, 8-16, 4-8.
With these fractions, Basal Toeslagstoffen B.V. can deliver the manufactured gravel the customer requires.
Base sand (also called filling sand) is mainly used as a sub-layer in construction projects. Given that roads, residential properties and other buildings will be positioned on it, it must fulfil a number of requirements. The sand must be sufficiently permeable and have adequate load-bearing capacity. If this is not the case, serious problems such as sinking can arise. For this application, mainly very fine sand types are used. But in principle, all types of sand are suitable.
